How do I know if my roof has hail damage?
From the ground you usually cannot tell. Look for dented gutters, downspouts, and metal vents as a first clue. On the roof, hail leaves bruised spots and knocks granules loose. That is what our inspection is for, and it costs you nothing to have us look.
What are Class 4 shingles and why do you install them?
Class 4 is the top impact rating in the UL 2218 test, meaning the shingle takes a hard strike without cracking. Colorado is one of the most hail-prone states in the country, so we install Class 4 impact-resistant shingles as standard on replacements. Ask your insurer whether they discount for them.
